Method
Prepare glass and garnish
Chill glass (optional)
Place a serving glass in the freezer for 10–15 minutes before serving to keep the water colder longer.
If using, slice a lemon wedge about 1/8" thick and pick a fresh mint sprig. Set garnishes aside.
Add 4 ice cubes to the chilled glass if you prefer your sparkling water very cold. Note: ice is optional; San Pellegrino is often served without ice to preserve carbonation and flavor.
Serve San Pellegrino
Open the chilled bottle of San Pellegrino carefully to preserve carbonation. Pour gently into the prepared glass at a slight angle to minimize foaming, filling to about 3/4 to 1" from the rim.
Lightly slap the mint sprig between your palms to release aroma and place it in the glass or beside it as a garnish.
Serve immediately while still effervescent.
