Directions

1

Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

2

Prepare the Bananas

In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth. Set aside.

3

Mix Dry Ingredients

In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, salt, sugar, and cinnamon.

4

Combine Wet Ingredients

In the bowl with the mashed bananas, add the melted butter, beaten eggs, espresso (or strong coffee), and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.

5

Combine Dry and Wet Mixtures

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

6

Add Nuts

If using, fold in the chopped nuts into the batter.

7

Prepare the Baking Pan

Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.

8

Pour Batter

Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.

9

Bake

Bake in the preheated oven for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

10

Cool and Serve

Once baked, allow the banana bread to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
