Cocktail
Prepare glass
Fill a highball glass or copper mule mug with ice to chill while assembling the cocktail.
Combine base ingredients
In a cocktail shaker, add Ketel One vodka (2 oz), passion fruit purée or juice (1 oz), fresh lime juice (0.5 oz), and simple syrup (0.25 oz) if you prefer a sweeter drink.
Shake
Add a small handful of ice to the shaker, secure the lid, and shake vigorously for about 10–12 seconds until well chilled.
Strain and top
Discard the chilling ice from the serving glass. Strain the shaken mixture into the chilled glass over fresh ice, then top with 4 oz chilled ginger beer. Gently stir once or twice to integrate without flattening the ginger beer.
Garnish & Finish
Garnish the cocktail with a lime wheel or wedge on the rim and a half passion fruit floated on top (scooping some seeds into the drink gives texture and extra aroma). Add a mint sprig if desired. Serve with a straw.
Notes
Adjust sweetness by omitting or increasing the simple syrup. If using concentrated passion fruit syrup, reduce or omit simple syrup. For a spicier ginger profile, choose a bold ginger beer. This recipe yields one cocktail; scale proportions for more servings.
