Method

Cosmo Base

1

Measure & Combine

In a mixing glass or cocktail shaker, pour 1 cup cranberry juice, 1/2 cup fresh lime juice, 2 tablespoons non‑alcoholic triple sec (or orange syrup), and 1/4 cup white grape juice. The grape juice adds body and approximates the mouthfeel of a spirit backbone.

2

Chill

Fill the shaker with ice (about 1 to 1 1/2 cups) and cap. Shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds until the outside of the shaker becomes cold and slightly frosted. This chills, dilutes, and integrates the flavors.

Brightening & Sweetening

3

Adjust Balance

Open the shaker and add 1 tablespoon simple syrup and 2 teaspoons non‑alcoholic orange bitters (or 2 tsp drop of orange extract). Secure the lid and give one short extra shake (3–4 seconds) to blend. Taste a small pour; increase simple syrup by 1/2 tablespoon if you prefer sweeter, or add another 1/2 teaspoon lime juice for more acidity.

Garnish & Finish

4

Strain & Serve

Double strain the mixture into a chilled coupe or martini glass (use a fine mesh strainer in addition to the shaker strainer to remove small ice shards).

5

Express & Garnish

Take the orange peel, hold it over the drink and gently squeeze to express the oils across the surface, then rub the peel rim around the glass edge and drop it in (or use as a twist). Add a lime wheel on the rim or float a thin lime twist on top.

6

Final Touch

Serve immediately while cold. Optionally, rim the glass lightly with superfine sugar for a sweeter presentation.
