Method
Cocktail
Chill glass
Place a martini or coupe glass in the freezer for at least 5 minutes or fill with ice water while preparing the cocktail to chill.
Build and shake
Add Absolut vodka (2 oz), yuzu juice (0.5 oz), dragon fruit syrup (0.5 oz), and sweet & sour mix (0.75 oz) into a cocktail shaker. Fill the shaker with ice (about 1 cup). Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds until well chilled and slightly diluted.
Double-strain
Remove the chilled glass from the freezer or discard ice water. Double-strain the shaken mixture into the chilled martini/coupe glass using a Hawthorne strainer and a fine mesh strainer to remove small ice shards and any pulp from yuzu or syrup.
Top with prosecco
Gently float or slowly pour chilled prosecco (about 2 oz total — 1.5 oz in cocktail + 0.5 oz extra) over the back of a spoon into the center of the drink to preserve effervescence. This will create a delicate fizzy crown without over-mixing.
Garnish & Serve
Garnish the cocktail with one thin slice of dragon fruit placed on the rim or floated on the surface. Express the yuzu zest over the drink by holding the twist about 2–3 inches above the glass and giving it a quick squeeze to release oils, then drop the twist in or rest it on the rim.
