Cocktail

1

Prepare glass

If desired, run a lemon wedge around the rim of a highball or pint glass and dip the rim into a shallow plate of coarse salt. Fill the glass with ice and set aside.

2

Mix

In a cocktail shaker (or mixing tin) add 2 oz Absolut Vodka, 4 oz Mott's Clamato, 0.5 oz dill pickle juice, 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce, and 1 tsp freshly cracked black pepper. Add a generous handful of ice (about 1 cup).

3

Shake or roll

Secure the shaker and shake vigorously for about 8–10 seconds to chill and slightly dilute the mixture. Alternatively, if you prefer less aeration, stir or roll the mixture between two tins for 10–15 seconds.

4

Strain and serve

Strain the cocktail into the prepared ice-filled glass. If you did not rim the glass, simply pour over fresh ice.

5

Finish and garnish

Garnish with a sprig of fresh dill and a pickle spear on the rim. Optionally add a lemon wedge on the rim for guests who want a bright citrus lift. Grind a small extra crack of black pepper on top to finish.

6

Serving note

Serve immediately. Provide a straw or stirrer. Adjust pickle juice amount to taste for more or less brine intensity; reduce to 1/4 oz for a subtler pickle note or increase to 3/4–1 oz for a bold dill profile.
