Cocktail
Method
Cocktail
Prepare Glass
Chill a rocks or coupe glass by placing it in the freezer for a few minutes or filling with ice water while you mix the cocktail. Pour out the ice water (if used) and pat dry.
Rim (optional)
Spread the smoked salt on a small plate. Run a lime wedge around the rim of the chilled glass, then dip the rim lightly into the smoked salt so you have an even but not heavy salt edge.
Combine Ingredients
In a cocktail shaker, add 2 oz Casamigos Mezcal, 0.75 oz fresh lime juice, 0.5 oz orange liqueur, and 0.5 oz agave nectar. Add plenty of ice to the shaker (about 4–6 oz of cubed ice).
Shake
Shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds until the shaker is very cold and well chilled (this also dilutes the drink appropriately).
Strain and Serve
Double-strain (using the shaker lid and a fine mesh strainer if available) into the prepared chilled glass over one large ice cube or neat in the chilled glass, depending on preference.
Garnish & Finish
Garnish with a lime wheel or wedge on the rim. Optionally express a lime peel over the top to release oils. Serve immediately.
