Filet Mignon

Aburi Lobster Tail

Method

Preparing the Filet Mignon

1

Sear the Steaks

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Season the filet mignon with salt and black pepper. Once the skillet is hot, add the steaks and sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare. Add butter and rosemary to the pan during the last minute of cooking for added flavor.

2

Rest the Steaks

Remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Preparing the Aburi Lobster Tail

3

Prepare the Lobster

Preheat your broiler. Cut the lobster tails in half lengthwise and remove the meat slightly from the shell for even cooking.

4

Make the Basting Sauce

In a small bowl, mix together melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, paprika, salt, and black pepper.

5

Broil the Lobster

Brush the lobster meat with the basting sauce and place under the broiler for about 6-8 minutes, or until the meat is opaque and cooked through. Baste with more sauce halfway through.

Plating

6

Serve Together

Slice the filet mignon and serve alongside the broiled lobster tails. Drizzle any remaining basting sauce over the lobster for extra flavor.
