Method

Preparation and Cooking

1

Prepare the Potatoes

Wash and peel the russet potatoes, then cut them into crinkle-cut shapes using a crinkle cutter.

2

Soak the Potatoes

Place the crinkle-cut potatoes in a bowl of cold water and soak for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.

3

Dry the Potatoes

Drain the potatoes and pat them dry with a clean towel.

4

Heat the Oil

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).

5

Fry the Potatoes

Fry the potatoes in batches for 4-6 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Do not overcrowd the pot.

6

Drain and Season

Remove the fries with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels. While still hot, sprinkle with sea salt, paprika, garlic powder, and black pepper.

7

Serve

Serve the crinkle cut fries hot as a side dish or snack.
