Method

Steak Preparation

  1. 1

    Season the Steak

Generously season the house butchered sirloin steaks with salt and black pepper on both sides.

  2. 2

    Cook the Steak

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steaks and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness. Remove from heat and let rest for 5 minutes.

Horseradish Aioli

  1. 3

    Make the Aioli

In a bowl, mix together mayonnaise, prepared horseradish, lemon juice, minced garlic, and salt until well combined. Set aside.

Mashed Potatoes

  1. 4

    Prepare the Potatoes

Boil the peeled and diced potatoes in salted water until tender, about 15-20 minutes. Drain and return to the pot.

  2. 5

    Mash the Potatoes

Add butter, milk, salt, and black pepper to the pot with the potatoes. Mash until smooth and creamy. Adjust seasoning as needed.

Seasonal Vegetables

  1. 6

    Sauté the Vegetables

In a separate pan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the mixed seasonal vegetables, season with salt and black pepper, and sauté for about 5-7 minutes until tender but still crisp.

Serving

  1. 7

    Plate the Dish

Serve the rested steak with a generous dollop of horseradish aioli, alongside a portion of mashed potatoes and sautéed seasonal vegetables.
