Base & Ice

Rotation Flavor Options (choose one per serving)

Garnish & Finish

Method

Prep & Muddle

  1. 1

    Choose rotation flavor

Decide which single rotation flavor you'll use for this serving (cucumber, raspberry, blood orange + ginger, or mint + elderflower). Gather the matched ingredients from the 'Rotation Flavor Options' section.

  2. 2

If using cucumber: thinly slice 3 cucumber rounds and lightly muddle 2 of them in the shaker to release juice and aroma; reserve 1 slice for garnish.

  3. 3

If using raspberries: place 6 raspberries in the shaker and gently muddle until broken but not totally puréed (small seeds okay).

  4. 4

If using blood orange + ginger: tear 3 blood orange segments to release juice and add 1/2 tsp ginger syrup; gently muddle the fruit with the syrup.

  5. 5

If using mint + elderflower: lightly clap 6 mint leaves between your palms to release fragrance, add to the shaker with 1/4 oz elderflower liqueur and gently bruise the leaves (do not pulverize).

Build, Shake & Top

  1. 6

To the shaker with the muddled rotation flavor, add 2 oz neutral spirit (vodka or white rum), 1/2 oz fresh lime juice, and 1/2 oz simple syrup.

  2. 7

Add a generous handful of ice (about 1 cup) to the shaker, seal, and shake vigorously for 8–12 seconds to chill and briefly dilute.

  3. 8

Strain the shaken mixture into a highball or Collins glass filled with fresh ice. Use a fine mesh strainer if you muddled fruit to remove large solids and seeds.

  4. 9

Top the glass with 4 oz chilled club seltzer, pouring gently to preserve carbonation.

Garnish & Serve

  1. 10

Gently stir once with a bar spoon (1–2 turns) to integrate the seltzer without flattening it.

  2. 11

Garnish with the reserved cucumber slice or a lime wheel/wedge and finish with a herb sprig (mint for cucumber/raspberry/blood orange, thyme optional with elderflower).

  3. 12

Serve immediately with a straw or without, encouraging the drinker to enjoy the effervescence.
