Cocktail

Method

Prepare Glass & Garnish

1

Toast nuts or coconut (if using)

Place chopped almonds or coconut flakes in a dry skillet over medium heat. Toast, stirring frequently, until fragrant and lightly browned, about 3–4 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool.

2

If you want a rim, rub a lime wedge around the glass rim. Place coarse sugar or toasted coconut on a small plate, then dip the glass rim into it to coat. Set the glass aside.

Shake Cocktail

3

Fill a cocktail shaker about two-thirds full with ice.

4

Add reposado tequila (1.5 oz), coconut tequila (0.5 oz), amaretto (0.5 oz), fresh lime juice (0.75 oz), pineapple juice (1.5 oz), passion fruit puree (0.75 oz), and simple syrup (0.25 oz, optional) to the shaker.

5

Secure the shaker lid and shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds, until the shaker feels well-chilled and slightly frosty.

6

Double-strain the mixture into the prepared chilled coupe or rocks glass (over fresh ice if you prefer it on the rocks) using a Hawthorne and fine mesh strainer to remove pulp and small ice shards.

Finish & Serve

7

Garnish with a toasted chopped almond or a few coconut flakes on top, and place a lime wheel or wedge on the rim or in the drink.

8

Serve immediately. Optionally, provide a small cocktail pick with a few toasted almonds for a decorative accent.
