Method

Preparation

1

Make the Chermoula Sauce

In a food processor, combine the preserved lemon, parsley, cumin, coriander, garlic, olive oil, and salt. Blend until smooth. Set aside.

2

Prepare the Cabbage Slaw

In a large bowl, mix the sliced cabbage, grated carrot, apple cider vinegar, olive oil, and salt. Toss well and let it marinate for about 15 minutes.

3

Toast the Spices

In a dry skillet over medium heat, toast the cumin seeds and coriander seeds until fragrant, about 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat and add paprika and salt. Set aside.

Cooking the Shrimp

4

Rub the Shrimp

In a bowl, toss the shrimp with olive oil and the chermoula spice mix until well coated.

5

Cook the Shrimp

Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the shrimp and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they are pink and opaque.

Serving

6

Plate the Dish

Serve the cooked shrimp over the cabbage slaw and sprinkle with the crispy spices. Drizzle some extra chermoula sauce on top if desired.
