Base Shake

Flavor & Sweetness (Low Sugar Options)

Method

Base Shake

1

Measure liquids

Pour 1.5 cups unsweetened almond milk and 0.5 cup cold water into the blender. Using some water keeps the shake light while almond milk adds creaminess without added sugar.

2

Add protein and yogurt

Add 2 scoops of low-sugar vanilla protein powder and 1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt (if using) to the blender. The yogurt increases creaminess and protein; omit for a dairy-free version.

3

Add flavor enhancers

Add 1/2 tsp vanilla extract and a pinch of kosher salt to enhance the vanilla notes and overall flavor. Add 4 drops liquid stevia or monk fruit sweetener, then taste after blending and adjust if needed.

4

Add ice and optional add-ins

Add 6 ice cubes and any optional add-ins you want (1 tbsp ground flaxseed or chia, 1 tsp MCT oil, or 1 tsp unsweetened cocoa powder for a mocha twist). Ice improves texture and dilutes thickness if needed.

5

Secure the blender lid and blend on high for 30–45 seconds, or until smooth and frothy. If using a personal shaker bottle instead of a blender, use less ice and shake vigorously until smooth (texture will be thinner).

6

Taste and adjust sweetness or thickness. For sweeter: add 1–2 more drops of liquid stevia. For thicker: add 2–3 tbsp extra Greek yogurt or a few more ice cubes and re-blend. For thinner: add 2–4 tbsp water or almond milk and pulse once.

7

Pour into a chilled glass and serve immediately. If you like, garnish with a light dusting of unsweetened cocoa or a sprinkle of cinnamon.
