Base Protein Shake

Method

Base Protein Shake

1

Combine liquids and protein

Add the cold water (10 oz) and unsweetened almond milk (1 cup) to a high-speed blender. Add 2 scoops of vanilla protein powder and 1 cup plain Greek yogurt. This combination balances protein concentration and creaminess.

2

Break the frozen banana into a few chunks and add them to the blender. The banana provides natural sweetness and a smooth texture.

Flavor & Sweetness

3

Add 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract, 1 tablespoon liquid sweetener (honey/agave/maple) and a pinch of fine sea salt to enhance the vanilla profile and balance sweetness. If you prefer less sweet, reduce the sweetener to 1 teaspoon.

Texture & Optional Add-ins

4

Add 6 ice cubes to chill and thicken the shake. If using optional add-ins, add 0.25 tsp ground cinnamon, 1 tsp MCT or neutral oil, and 1 tbsp chia or flaxseed now.

5

Secure the lid and blend on high for 30–60 seconds, or until the mixture is completely smooth and the texture is thick and creamy. Stop and scrape the sides once if needed; blend again for 5–10 seconds.

6

Taste and adjust: if too thick, add up to 2 oz more cold water or almond milk and pulse to combine. If not sweet enough, add another 1/2 tablespoon sweetener and blend briefly.

7

Pour into a chilled 16–20 oz glass. Optionally sprinkle a light dusting of cinnamon on top or a few chia seeds. Serve immediately.
