Chill and measure
If you prefer a cold shake, place shaker or blender and serving glass in the fridge for 5–10 minutes or use ice when blending. Measure all powder and optional ingredients so they are ready.
Combine dry ingredients
In a small bowl or directly in the shaker cup, combine the 2 scoops unflavored whey protein and 1 optional scoop collagen peptides. If using xanthan gum and lecithin, sprinkle xanthan and add lecithin now so they disperse evenly with the powders. If adding salt or potassium chloride, add those pinches with the dry mix.
Add liquids and blend
If using liquid stevia/monk fruit, cocoa powder, or vanilla, add them now. Add ice cubes if you want a very cold, frothy shake.
Blend on high for 20–30 seconds (or vigorously shake the shaker cup for 30–45 seconds). If using a blender, scrape down the sides once and blend another 5–10 seconds to ensure full dispersion. The xanthan gum and lecithin will help eliminate grit and create a smooth texture.
Adjust and finish
Taste a small sip. If you want smoother texture, let the shake rest 1–2 minutes (xanthan will hydrate further). If you want sweeter, add an extra 1–2 drops of stevia or a pinch more salt to enhance flavor. If too thick, add 1–2 oz water and mix again; if too thin, add 0.5 scoop protein or a few more ice cubes and re-blend briefly.
Pour into serving glass if blended in a pitcher, or unlock shaker and enjoy immediately. Rinse blender/shaker promptly to prevent protein sticking.
