Collagen Beverage Base

Method

Collagen Beverage Base

1

Warm Dissolve

Measure 12 oz of filtered water and heat until warm (about 120–140°F / pleasantly hot to the touch). Do not boil.

2

Place 2 scoops of unflavored grass-fed collagen peptide powder into a large mug or heatproof container.

3

Pour about 2 oz of the warm water directly into the mug and stir briskly for 15–30 seconds to create a smooth paste with no dry clumps.

4

Gradually add the remaining warm water while stirring continuously until fully incorporated and the collagen is dissolved (about 30–45 seconds).

5

Taste and, if using, stir in 1 tsp fresh lemon juice, 1 tsp honey or maple syrup, and a pinch of sea salt. Stir until combined.

Optional Enhancers

6

For a creamier, bulletproof-style beverage: add 1 tsp grass-fed ghee or MCT oil to the warm collagen drink.

7

If using oil, blend for 10–20 seconds with an immersion blender (or transfer to a countertop blender and pulse once) to emulsify and create a silky texture.

8

To make a chilled version: allow the warm mixture to cool slightly, then pour into a shaker with 6 oz cold water or a few ice cubes and shake vigorously for 15–20 seconds, or transfer to a blender and blend briefly until frothy.

9

If using cinnamon or vanilla, add 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon and/or 1/4 tsp vanilla extract and stir or blend to combine.

10

Serve immediately while warm or chilled over ice. Store any leftover in a sealed container in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours; stir or shake before drinking.
