Method
Prepare Dry Mix
Combine powders
In a dry bowl or large measuring cup, add 1 cup grass‑fed beef isolate powder, 1/4 cup unflavored whey or collagen powder (if using), 1 tablespoon cocoa powder (if using), 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon, and 1/4 teaspoon fine sea salt. Whisk thoroughly to break up any clumps and to ensure an even blend of all dry components.
Optional sifting
For the smoothest texture, sift the combined dry mix through a fine mesh sieve into a clean container to remove any remaining lumps.
Hydrate & Emulsify
Add cold liquids
Pour 12 oz cold water and 4 oz unsweetened almond milk (or your milk of choice) into a blender or large shaker bottle. Add 1 tablespoon melted grass‑fed butter or ghee and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract if using.
Incorporate dry mix
Add the prepared dry mix to the liquids in two additions to minimize clumping. If using a blender, blend on medium for 20–30 seconds after each addition until fully incorporated. If using a shaker, secure lid and shake vigorously for 45–60 seconds, tapping the sides as needed to break clumps.
Sweeten and adjust
Taste the mixture and add up to 1 tablespoon liquid sweetener (honey, maple, or simple syrup) to reach desired sweetness. Blend or shake again for 10–15 seconds to incorporate.
Finish & Serve
Chill and texture
If you prefer a chilled, frothy drink, add 4 ice cubes to the blender and pulse 3–4 times to crush the ice and create a smooth, frothy texture. If serving without ice, proceed to the next step.
Plate and garnish
Pour the prepared beverage into a glass. Finish with an optional pinch of freshly ground black pepper to accent savory notes and sprinkle 1 tablespoon chopped toasted nuts or seeds on top if desired.
Storage of dry mix
Store any unused combined dry mix in an airtight container in a cool, dry place for up to 1 month. For single‑serve convenience, portion the dry mix into 1/4‑cup packets.
