Colostrum Base

Optional Protein & Recovery Boost

Method

Prepare Colostrum Drink

1

Measure and warm water

Warm 8 oz (about 240 ml) of filtered water to a comfortable warm temperature (around 100–110°F / 38–43°C). Do not use boiling water — excessive heat can degrade bioactive colostrum components.

2

Mix powder

Place 2 tablespoons of grass-fed bovine colostrum powder into a glass or shaker bottle. Add 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (if using) and 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup for sweetness.

3

Combine and dissolve

Pour the warm water over the powder and sweetener. Stir vigorously with a whisk or use a shaker bottle for 20–30 seconds until fully dissolved and smooth. If using cacao powder, add it now and whisk to incorporate.

4

Add healthy fats and protein (optional)

If using, add 1 teaspoon MCT oil or extra-virgin olive oil and 1 tablespoon unflavored whey or collagen peptides to the warm drink. Stir or shake again until incorporated. The added fat helps absorption and recovery.

5

Cool or serve chilled (optional)

For a chilled recovery shake, transfer the dissolved colostrum base to a blender, add 1/2 cup frozen banana or berries and 4 ice cubes, and blend on medium for 20–30 seconds until smooth. This creates a thicker, smoothie-style serving while preserving colostrum bioactivity (do not blend with very hot liquid).

6

Taste and adjust

Taste and adjust sweetness or cinnamon/cacao to preference. If the texture is too thick, add up to 2 oz more filtered water and mix again.

7

Serve

Pour into a glass. Garnish with a light dusting of grated nutmeg or cinnamon and a sprinkle of crushed toasted nuts if desired. Consume promptly to enjoy maximal bioactivity.
