4-Cheese Blend (topping portion)
Method
4-Cheese Blend (topping portion)
Combine cheeses
In a medium mixing bowl, combine the shredded mozzarella, shredded provolone, shredded cheddar, and grated Parmesan. Use a fork or silicone spatula to gently toss until the cheeses are evenly distributed. Make sure there are no large clumps of any single cheese so the blend will melt evenly.
Portion the blend
Measure out approximately 1 3/4 cups (total) of the mixed cheese for a standard 12" pizza half or one medium pizza topping application. If adding as an extra topping for a single personal pizza, use about 3/4 to 1 cup depending on desired cheesiness. Adjust quantity to taste.
Add to pizza
After the pizza crust is sauced and any other toppings (pepperoni, vegetables, meats) are already in place, evenly sprinkle the 4-Cheese Blend over the pizza. Aim for a uniform layer so it melts and browns consistently.
Bake
Bake the pizza according to your pizza dough and oven instructions (typical commercial pizza: 450–500°F / 230–260°C for 8–12 minutes; home oven: 475°F / 245°C for 10–14 minutes) until the crust is golden and the cheese is fully melted and starting to brown in spots. If using a very hot stone/peel method, monitor closely to avoid burning the Parmesan.
Finish and serve
Remove pizza from oven and let rest 1–2 minutes. If desired, lightly sprinkle the chopped fresh parsley and a pinch of cracked black pepper over the cheese for a fresh finish. Slice and serve hot.
