1. Toast the Peppercorns
In a dry skillet over medium heat, add black peppercorns and toast them for 2-3 minutes until fragrant. Remove from heat and crush lightly.
2. Prepare the Sauce
In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add the toasted peppercorns and stir for 1 minute.
3. Add the Bourbon
Carefully add the bourbon to the skillet. Allow it to simmer for about 5 minutes, letting the alcohol cook off.
4. Incorporate the Cream
Reduce the heat to low and pour in the heavy cream. Stir well and let it cook for an additional 5 minutes until slightly thickened. Season with salt to taste.
5. Serve
Remove from heat and serve the peppercorn sauce over your favorite meat dish.
