Make the Blackening Seasoning

In a small bowl, combine paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, thyme, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.

Prepare the Tuna Steak

Pat the tuna steak dry with paper towels. Rub the olive oil over the steak and then coat both sides generously with the blackening seasoning.

Cook the Tuna Steak

Heat a cast-iron skillet over high heat until it is smoking hot. Add the seasoned tuna steak and cook for 1-2 minutes on each side, or until the desired doneness is reached (1 minute for rare, 2 minutes for medium). Remove from heat.
