Steak and Marinade

Method

Preparation and Cooking

1

Marinade the Steak

In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, mandarin juice, brown sugar, minced garlic, grated ginger, sesame oil, and black pepper. Whisk until the sugar is dissolved.

2

Add the Steak

Place the Wagyu picanha steak in a large resealable bag or shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the steak, ensuring it is fully coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight.

3

Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to high heat.

4

Grill the Steak

Remove the steak from the marinade and let it come to room temperature for about 30 minutes. Grill the steak for about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness. Baste with leftover marinade during grilling for extra flavor.

5

Rest and Serve

Once cooked, remove the steak from the grill and let it rest for 10 minutes. Slice against the grain and garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
