Fries
Method
Preparation
Prepare the Potatoes
Wash and peel the russet potatoes. Cut them into thin strips to form fries.
Soak the Fries
Place the cut fries in a bowl of cold water and let them soak for at least 30 minutes. This helps remove excess starch.
Dry the Fries
Drain the fries and pat them dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
Heat the Oil
In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).
Fry the Potatoes
Carefully add the fries to the hot oil in small batches. Fry until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.
Season the Fries
While the fries are still hot, drizzle with truffle oil, sprinkle with salt, and toss with chopped fresh parsley and grated Parmesan cheese.
Serve
Serve immediately while hot and crispy.
