1

Chill glass

Place a coupe or chilled stemmed glass in the freezer for a few minutes or fill it with ice water while you prepare the drink to cool it down.

2

Optional vermouth rinse

If you prefer a slightly drier, aromatic profile, pour the 0.25 oz dry vermouth into the chilled glass, swirl it to coat the interior, then discard any excess vermouth. This step is optional; omit if you want pure Hendrick's flavor.

3

Combine ingredients

In a cocktail shaker, add the Hendrick's Gin (2 oz), fresh lemon juice (0.5 oz), and simple syrup (0.5 oz).

4

Add ice and shake

Add 6 ice cubes to the shaker. Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds until the outside of the shaker feels very cold and the drink is well-chilled and slightly diluted.

5

Prepare garnish

While shaking, cut a long thin ribbon from a fresh cucumber and prepare a lemon twist. The cucumber ribbon should be about 1/4 inch wide and long enough to drape inside the glass.

6

Strain

Discard any ice or water from the chilled glass. Double-strain the cocktail into the glass using a Hawthorne strainer and a fine mesh strainer to remove small ice shards and pulp, ensuring a smooth appearance.

7

Garnish and serve

Thread the cucumber ribbon inside the glass along the interior wall or drape it over the rim, and express the lemon twist over the drink to release oils, then drop it in. Serve immediately.
