Prepare glass
Chill an old-fashioned or rocks glass by filling it with ice and setting it aside while you assemble the drink.
Build and mix
Discard the ice from the chilled glass. Add fresh ice cubes to the glass (about 1 cup). Pour in 1.5 oz vodka, 0.5 oz fresh lime juice, and 0.25 oz dry vermouth. Add 2 dashes of Angostura bitters. Stir gently for about 8–10 seconds to combine and slightly chill the spirit mixture.
Top and finish
Top the stirred mixture with 2 oz chilled cola, pouring slowly to preserve carbonation. Give one gentle stir (1–2 revolutions) to integrate the cola without flattening it. Garnish with a lime wheel or wedge on the rim.
Serve
Serve immediately with a short straw or stir stick. Optionally provide a small spoon for guests who prefer more stirring to blend the cola fully.
