Cold Drinks - Single Serving (per glass)

Method

Cold Drinks - Preparation and Serving

1

Chill and Prepare Glasses

If possible, chill glasses in the refrigerator or freezer for 5–10 minutes before serving. This keeps the drinks colder longer. Prepare ice and garnish (slice a lemon or lime wedge if using).

2

Serve Carbonated Sodas

For Pepsi, Diet Pepsi, or Dr. Pepper: place 6 ice cubes into a clean 16 oz glass. Open the can or bottle and pour 12 oz of your chosen soda slowly over the ice to reduce foaming. Serve immediately with a straw and optional lemon or lime wedge on the rim.

3

Serve Fruit Juices

For orange, apple, or cranberry juice: place 6 ice cubes into a clean 12 oz glass (use a 10–12 oz glass for an 8 oz pour). Pour 8 oz of chilled juice into the glass over the ice. If desired, gently stir once with a bar spoon to cool the juice evenly. Add a lemon or lime wedge on the rim if desired.

4

Multiple Drinks / Self-Serve Station

If offering multiple options for a table or station, chill bottles/cans and juices in an ice-filled cooler or refrigerator. Provide labeled pitchers for juices (8 oz per serving estimate) and keep sodas refrigerated or on ice. Provide clean glasses, ice, and garnishes so guests can choose and pour their own.

5

Storage and Safety

Keep unopened cans/bottles refrigerated until use. Once opened, consume soda within 24 hours for best carbonation and juices within 48 hours refrigerated and sealed. Discard juices left at room temperature for more than 2 hours.
