Classic Margarita

Method

Classic Margarita

1

Prepare Glass

Rub a lime wedge around the rim of a rocks or coupe glass. Dip the rim into coarse salt spread on a small plate to coat. Set glass aside.

2

Mix

Add 2 oz tequila, 1 oz fresh lime juice, 1 oz orange liqueur, and 0.5 oz simple syrup into a cocktail shaker filled halfway with ice.

3

Shake & Strain

Shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds until well chilled. Strain into the prepared glass over fresh ice (or serve up without ice).

4

Garnish

Garnish with the reserved lime wedge. Adjust sweetness to taste by adding up to 0.25–0.5 oz more simple syrup if desired.

Fresa (Strawberry) Margarita

5

Prepare Strawberry Purée (if not using store-bought)

Hull and slice 4–6 fresh strawberries. Blend until smooth with 1–2 teaspoons of sugar or simple syrup if berries are not very sweet. Strain if you prefer a smoother texture.

6

Prepare Glass

Rub lime wedge around the glass rim and dip in sugar or salt, depending on preference. Fill glass with fresh ice and set aside.

7

Mix

In a shaker, combine 2 oz tequila, 0.75 oz fresh lime juice, 0.5 oz orange liqueur, 2 oz strawberry purée, and 0.5 oz simple syrup. Add ice.

8

Shake & Strain

Shake vigorously 12–15 seconds until cold. Double-strain into the prepared glass over fresh ice to remove seeds and pulp if desired.

9

Garnish

Garnish with a fresh strawberry or a thin lime wheel. Taste and add more simple syrup if needed.

Mango Margarita

10

Prepare Mango Purée (if not using store-bought)

Peel and cube 1 ripe mango (about 1 cup). Blend until smooth; if too thick, add a teaspoon or two of water or lime juice to loosen. Strain for an ultra-smooth texture if desired.

11

Prepare Glass

Rub a lime wedge around the rim and dip into tajín or salt for a spiced rim. Fill the glass with ice.

12

Mix

In a shaker, combine 2 oz tequila, 0.75 oz fresh lime juice, 0.5 oz orange liqueur, 2 oz mango purée, and 0.5 oz agave syrup. Add ice.

13

Shake & Strain

Shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds until well chilled. Strain into the prepared glass over fresh ice.

14

Garnish

Garnish with a mango slice or lime wheel. Taste and adjust sweetness with a touch more agave if desired.
