Cooking Instructions

1

Prepare the Ingredients

Rinse the mussels or clams under cold water and scrub the shells to remove any grit. Discard any that are open and do not close when tapped.

2

Sauté Aromatics

In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the chopped shallots and minced garlic. Sauté until the shallots are translucent, about 3-4 minutes.

3

Add Wine and Mussels/Clams

Pour in the white wine and bring to a simmer. Add the mussels or clams to the pot and cover with a lid.

4

Steam the Shellfish

Steam the mussels or clams for about 5-7 minutes, or until they have opened up. Discard any that remain closed.

5

Finish with Herbs and Seasoning

Stir in the fresh herbs and season with salt and black pepper to taste. Serve immediately with the broth.
