Method

Cake Preparation

1

Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

2

Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.

3

Beat Eggs

In a separate bowl, beat the eggs until frothy. Add the whole milk and vanilla extract, mixing until combined.

4

Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients

Slowly add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients, mixing just until combined. Do not overmix.

5

Bake the Cake

Pour the batter into a greased 9x13 inch baking pan and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

6

Cool the Cake

Remove the cake from the oven and allow it to cool completely in the pan.

Milk Mixture Preparation

7

Combine Milk Mixture Ingredients

In a medium bowl, whisk together the sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, and whole milk until well combined.

8

Soak the Cake

Once the cake has cooled, poke holes all over the top using a fork. Slowly pour the milk mixture over the cake, allowing it to soak in. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight for best results.

Topping Preparation

9

Whip the Cream

In a mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Gradually add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract while continuing to whip until stiff peaks form.

10

Top the Cake

Spread the whipped cream evenly over the soaked cake. If desired, sprinkle with cinnamon for added flavor.
