Preparation Instructions

1

Slice the Potatoes

Wash and peel the Russet potatoes. Slice them thinly, about 1/8 inch thick, using a mandoline or sharp knife.

2

Soak the Slices

Place the sliced potatoes in a large bowl of cold water. Let them soak for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.

3

Heat the Oil

In a large, deep pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C). You can use a thermometer to check the temperature.

4

Fry the Chips

Drain the potato slices and pat them dry with paper towels. Carefully add a handful of potatoes to the hot oil. Fry for 2-3 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

5

Add Maple Syrup and Seasoning

While the chips are still warm, drizzle maple syrup over them and sprinkle with sea salt and ground cinnamon. Toss gently to coat evenly.

6

Serve

Allow the chips to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy your homemade Maple Kettle Chips!
