Preparation Steps

  1. 1

    Prepare Chicken Strips

Cut the chicken breast into strips. In a bowl, mix flour, cornstarch, baking powder, salt, black pepper, paprika, and garlic powder. In another bowl, whisk eggs and buttermilk together. Dip each chicken strip into the egg mixture, then coat with the flour mixture.

  2. 2

    Fry Chicken Strips

Heat oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C). Fry the coated chicken strips in batches until golden brown and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes per batch. Drain on paper towels.

  3. 3

    Prepare Biscuits

In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Cut in butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in milk and honey until just combined. Shape into a ball, then flatten slightly. Cut into rounds or wedges.

  4. 4

    Bake Biscuits

Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Place the biscuits on a baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.

  5. 5

    Serve

Plate the fried chicken strips with maple kettle chips, freshly baked biscuits, and your choice of two house-made sauces.
