Baking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. 2

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.

  3. 3

    Combine Wet Ingredients

In another bowl, mix the milk, melted butter, vanilla extract, and egg until well combined.

  4. 4

    Combine Mixtures

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.

  5. 5

    Bake

Spoon the batter into a greased muffin tin, filling each cup about 2/3 full. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

  6. 6

    Cool

Remove from the oven and let cool in the tin for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

  7. 7

    Prepare Icing

In a small bowl, mix 1 cup powdered sugar with 2 tablespoons milk and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract until smooth.

  8. 8

    Ice the Muffins

Once the muffins are completely cool, drizzle the icing over the top of each muffin.
