Waffle and Toppings
Method
Preparation
- 1
Make the Waffle Batter
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, sugar, salt, and ground cinnamon. In another bowl, mix the milk, eggs, and melted butter. Combine the wet and dry ingredients, then fold in the cinnamon chips.
- 2
Cook the Waffles
Preheat your waffle iron. Pour the batter onto the waffle iron and cook according to the manufacturer's instructions until golden brown. Keep warm while preparing the toppings.
- 3
Prepare the Apple Cheesecake Topping
In a medium bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add powdered sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
- 4
Sauté the Fried Apples
In a skillet over medium heat, melt a little butter, then add the sliced apples, brown sugar, and ground cinnamon. Cook until the apples are tender and caramelized, about 5-7 minutes.
- 5
Assemble the Waffles
Place a waffle on a plate. Spread a layer of apple cheesecake on top, add the fried apples, a dollop of whipped cream, and drizzle with caramel sauce. Serve warm.
