Chicken Marsala Ingredients
Method
Chicken Marsala Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Chicken
Season the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper on both sides. Dredge them in all-purpose flour, shaking off any excess.
- 2
Sear the Chicken
In a large skillet, heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter over medium-high heat. When hot, add the chicken breasts and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- 3
Cook the Mushrooms
In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of butter. Add the wild mushrooms and sauté for about 5 minutes until they are tender and browned.
- 4
Make the Sauce
Pour in the Marsala wine and chicken broth, scraping the bottom of the pan to release any browned bits. Bring the mixture to a boil and let it simmer for about 10 minutes until it has reduced by half.
- 5
Combine Ingredients
Return the chicken to the skillet and spoon the sauce over the top. Allow it to cook for an additional 5 minutes to heat through.
