Cake Preparation

1

Preheat the oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan.

2

Combine dry ingredients

In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.

3

Mix wet ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, beat the eggs and sugar together until light and fluffy. Gradually add the milk and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.

4

Combine mixtures

Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined. Avoid overmixing.

5

Bake the cake

Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow to cool completely.

Milk Mixture Preparation

6

Mix milk ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine the sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, and whole milk. Whisk until well combined.

7

Soak the cake

Once the cake has cooled, poke holes all over the top using a fork. Slowly pour the milk mixture over the cake, allowing it to soak in. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.

Whipped Topping Preparation

8

Whip the cream

In a mixing bowl, beat the heavy whipping cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.

9

Top the cake

Spread the whipped cream over the soaked cake evenly. Optionally, sprinkle with ground cinnamon and top with fresh fruit.
