Method
Fruit Base
Wash and dry
Rinse all berries, grapes, kiwi, and melon pieces under cold water in a colander. Gently pat dry on clean kitchen towels or paper towels to remove excess moisture so the platter doesn't get soggy.
Hull and slice strawberries
Remove the green tops from strawberries and slice large berries in half or quarters so pieces are bite-size and roughly uniform with other fruit.
Prepare kiwi
Peel the kiwi with a small knife or vegetable peeler and slice into 1/4-inch rounds. Halve rounds if you prefer smaller pieces.
Cut melons and pineapple
Cut cantaloupe and honeydew into 1-inch cubes or use a melon baller. Trim the pineapple, remove core, and cut into bite-size pieces. Keep pieces similar in size for an attractive presentation and easy eating.
Portion grapes and berries
Remove grapes from stems and discard any bruised pieces. Leave blueberries, blackberries/raspberries whole. Place pomegranate seeds into a small bowl if using.
Garnish & Finishing
Arrange fruit on platter
Select a large shallow platter or cutting board. Start by grouping larger items (melon, pineapple, and kiwi) in separate clusters to create color blocks. Fill gaps with grapes and berries, alternating colors and shapes to create visual contrast. Aim for balance and variety across the platter.
Add garnish
Tuck fresh mint sprigs among the fruit clusters for color and aroma. Sprinkle pomegranate seeds lightly over light-colored fruit for bright contrast. If using toasted coconut flakes, sprinkle them sparingly over the pineapple and melon.
Finish with lime and honey
Zest a small amount of lime over the platter (about 1/2 teaspoon) and cut the lime into wedges to serve on the side. If desired, lightly drizzle 1–2 tablespoons honey over the fruit just before serving or serve honey in a small bowl.
Optional Dips
Yogurt-honey dip
In a small bowl, stir together 1 cup plain Greek yogurt, 1 tablespoon honey, and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract until smooth. Transfer to a serving bowl and place on the platter.
Cream cheese dip
For a richer dip, beat 4 ounces softened cream cheese with 1 1/2 tablespoons powdered sugar and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla (or the vanilla listed above) until smooth. If too thick, thin with 1–2 tablespoons milk or cream to reach desired consistency. Serve in a small bowl on the platter.
