Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Clams

Rinse the Manila clams under cold water to remove any sand or debris. Discard any clams that are open and do not close when tapped.

  2. 2

    Sauté Garlic

In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes, being careful not to burn it.

  3. 3

    Add Wine and Herbs

Pour in the dry white wine and add the chopped parsley and thyme. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer.

  4. 4

    Steam the Clams

Add the prepared clams to the pot and season with salt and black pepper. Cover the pot with a lid and steam the clams for about 5-7 minutes, or until they have opened up. Discard any clams that remain closed.

  5. 5

    Serve

Carefully transfer the clams to a serving dish, pouring the garlic herb broth over them. Serve hot with crusty bread to soak up the sauce.
