Frittata Ingredients

Method

Frittata Preparation Steps

  1. 1

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) to ensure it's hot enough for baking the frittata.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Tomatoes

Wash the cherry tomatoes and slice them in half. Set them aside.

  3. 3

    Whisk the Eggs

In a large mixing bowl, crack the 8 large eggs and whisk them together until well combined. Add salt and black pepper to the mixture and whisk again.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Mozzarella

If you haven't done so already, prepare your homemade mozzarella by draining and cutting it into small cubes.

  5. 5

    Combine Ingredients

Add the halved cherry tomatoes, cubed mozzarella, and fresh basil leaves to the egg mixture. Gently stir to combine all ingredients evenly.

  6. 6

    Cook on Stovetop

In a large oven-safe skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Once hot, pour in the egg and ingredient mixture. Cook for about 5 minutes, or until the edges begin to set.

  7. 7

    Bake the Frittata

Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for about 15-20 minutes, or until the center is set and the top is slightly golden.

  8. 8

    Cool and Serve

Once baked, remove the frittata from the oven and allow it to cool for a few minutes. Cut into wedges and serve warm or at room temperature.
