Chicken and Broth
Rice
Domojang Sauce
Hand Torn Noodles
Method
Preparing the Chicken and Broth
Shred the Chicken
Once the chicken is cooked, remove it from the pot and let it cool slightly. Shred the chicken into bite-sized pieces and set aside. Strain the broth and reserve.
Cooking the Rice
Prepare Rice
In a medium saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Add 2 cups of jasmine rice, cover, and reduce heat to low. Cook for 18-20 minutes or until rice is tender and water is absorbed.
Making Domojang Sauce
Mix Ingredients
In a small bowl, combine doenjang, sesame oil, soy sauce, honey, grated ginger, and minced garlic. Mix well to create a sauce.
Making Hand Torn Noodles
Prepare Noodles
In a mixing bowl, combine flour, salt, and water. Knead until a smooth dough forms. Let the dough rest for 30 minutes. Tear pieces of dough into desired noodle shapes.
Cook Noodles
In a pot of boiling salted water, cook the hand-torn noodles for about 3-4 minutes or until they float and are cooked through. Drain and set aside.
