Method

Bread Pudding

1

Prepare the Bread

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Cut the French bread into 1-inch cubes and place them in a large mixing bowl.

2

Make the Custard

In a separate bowl, whisk together the whole milk, heavy cream, sugar, vanilla extract, eggs, and salt until well combined.

3

Combine Bread and Custard

Pour the custard mixture over the cubed bread and add the white chocolate chips. Gently fold the mixture until the bread is completely coated.

4

Bake the Pudding

Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the custard is set.

5

Cool and Serve

Allow the bread pudding to cool for about 10 minutes before serving warm, drizzled with whiskey butterscotch sauce.

Whiskey Butterscotch Sauce

6

Melt the Ingredients

In a saucepan over medium heat, combine brown sugar and butter. Stir until the butter is melted and the sugar is dissolved.

7

Add Cream and Flavorings

Slowly whisk in the heavy cream, followed by the whiskey, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Continue to stir and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.

8

Cool and Store

Remove from heat and let the sauce cool slightly before drizzling over warm bread pudding. Store any leftover sauce in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
