Method
Açai Base
Prep fruit
Peel one banana. Reserve half (about 1/2 banana) for topping and break the other half into chunks for the blender.
Pulse on low first to break up the frozen fruit, then blend on high in short bursts until mixture is smooth but thick — it should be spoonable, not pourable. If too thick, add 1–2 tbs (15–30 ml) more milk; if too thin, add a few more frozen berries or a few ice cubes.
Taste and adjust sweetness with up to 1 tbs more honey/agave if desired.
Toppings (included: banana, granola + two toppings of choice)
Spoon the blended açai into a serving bowl, using a spatula to get all the mixture out of the blender. Smooth the top with the back of a spoon.
Arrange the reserved banana slices along one side of the bowl.
Sprinkle 3/4 cup granola in a stripe or cluster on the bowl, leaving space for the two additional toppings.
Add 1/4 cup fresh berries (topping 1) and 1 tbs shredded coconut (topping 2) in the remaining space. If using different toppings (e.g., sliced kiwi, cacao nibs, or sliced almonds), place them similarly so the bowl is visually balanced.
Scatter 1 tsp chia seeds and/or 1 tsp nut butter over the top if using.
Garnish / finishing
Finish with a small mint leaf and a light 1/2 tsp drizzle of honey or agave. Serve immediately with a spoon.
