Protein Base

Method

Protein Base

1

Measure powders

Spoon 3 tablespoons of beef protein isolate and 1 tablespoon of beef collagen hydrolysate into a small bowl or directly into the blender cup. Stir gently to combine so the powders are evenly mixed.

2

If using cocoa powder for a chocolate version, add it here so it mixes directly with the protein powders and avoids clumping.

Liquid & Texture

3

Add 8 oz (240 ml) cold water and 4 oz (120 ml) unsweetened almond milk (or milk of choice) to the blender or shaker cup. Adding both water and milk balances hydration with creaminess and helps the powder dissolve properly.

4

Spoon in 3 tablespoons of plain Greek yogurt to increase creaminess, add live cultures, and contribute to texture and mouthfeel. The yogurt also adds additional protein and body to the shake.

5

If you prefer a chilled shake, add 4 ice cubes to the blender. For a smoother, less diluted drink, chill the liquids beforehand and skip the ice.

Flavor & Sweetener

6

Add 1 teaspoon vanilla extract for aroma and depth. If you want the shake sweeter, add 1 teaspoon maple syrup or honey (or more to taste). Taste after blending and adjust sweetness if needed.

7

Add a pinch (about 1/8 teaspoon) of sea salt to brighten the flavors. If using ground cinnamon, add it now for warm spice notes.

Blend & Serve

8

If using a high-speed blender: combine the mixed powders, liquids, yogurt, flavorings, and ice in the blender. Blend on high for 20–30 seconds until fully smooth and no powdery grit remains. Stop, scrape down the sides if necessary, and blend another 5–10 seconds.

9

If using a shaker bottle: add powders first, then liquids, secure the lid, and shake vigorously for 30–45 seconds until smooth. Let it rest for 30 seconds and shake once more to eliminate any remaining clumps.

10

Pour into a glass. Taste and adjust sweetness or cinnamon if desired. Consume immediately for best texture and freshness.

11

Store leftovers in the refrigerator in a sealed container and consume within 24 hours. Re-shake or re-blend before drinking, as separation may occur.
