Slightly spicy and all perfection, our Rigatoni alla Vodka is prepared with our famous rigatoni pasta coated in a made-to-order, creamy vodka sauce and topped with freshly grated parmesan.
In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the rigatoni pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and crushed red pepper flakes, sautéing for about 1 minute until fragrant.
Stir in the tomato puree and vodka. Allow the mixture to simmer for about 5-7 minutes, letting the alcohol cook off.
Reduce the heat and slowly add the heavy cream, stirring continuously. Season with salt to taste. Allow the sauce to simmer for another 5 minutes until it thickens slightly.
Add the cooked rigatoni to the sauce, tossing to coat the pasta evenly with the creamy vodka sauce.
Plate the rigatoni and top with freshly grated Parmesan cheese and chopped basil. Serve immediately.
