Cocktail

1

Chill glass

Place a martini or coupe glass in the freezer for at least 5 minutes, or fill it with ice water while you prepare the cocktail to chill it.

2

Measure and combine

In a cocktail shaker, add 2 oz Absolut Apeach, 1 oz fresh blood orange juice, 1 oz cranberry juice, 0.5 oz fresh lime juice, 0.25 oz simple syrup, and 0.25 oz orange liqueur (if using).

3

Add ice and shake

Fill the shaker with 6 ice cubes, secure the lid, and shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds until the shaker is very cold to the touch and the exterior is frosted. This chills and slightly dilutes the drink, balancing the citrus and cranberry tartness.

4

Prepare glass and strain

If you used ice water to chill the glass, empty it now. Double-strain the cocktail into the chilled martini or coupe glass using a Hawthorne and fine mesh strainer to remove ice shards and any pulp from the blood orange.

Garnish

5

Garnish the cocktail with a blood orange wheel on the rim or a thin twist of blood orange peel expressed over the surface to release oils. Optionally drop a single cranberry into the drink for visual contrast.
