1. Muddle the Mint and Sugar

In a sturdy glass, add the fresh mint leaves and granulated sugar. Use a muddler or the back of a spoon to gently crush the mint leaves with the sugar. This releases the mint oils and combines them with the sugar.

2. Add Lime Juice

Cut the lime into quarters. Squeeze the juice from the lime quarters into the glass, ensuring to drop the squeezed pieces into the mixture as well. Muddle gently again to mix the lime juice with the mint and sugar.

3. Add Rum

Pour the white rum into the glass with the muddled mint, lime, and sugar mixture. Stir well to combine all the flavors.

4. Add Ice

Fill the glass with ice cubes to your desired level.

5. Top with Club Soda

Pour the club soda over the ice until the glass is full. This will add a refreshing fizz to the cocktail.

6. Garnish and Serve

Garnish with a sprig of fresh mint and a lime wedge on the rim of the glass. Serve immediately with a straw or a stirring stick.
