Method
Preparation
Cook the Beef
In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula as it cooks, about 8-10 minutes.
Season the Beef
Once the beef is browned, drain any excess fat. Add the taco seasoning and 1/4 cup of water to the skillet. Stir to combine and simmer for 5 minutes until the sauce thickens.
Prepare the Tortillas
While the beef is cooking, warm the corn tortillas in a separate skillet over medium heat for about 30 seconds on each side until pliable.
Assembly
Assemble the Tacos
Take one warmed tortilla and spoon a portion of the seasoned beef onto the center of the tortilla. Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and shredded cheese.
Add Toppings
Add a dollop of sour cream, a spoonful of guacamole, and fresh salsa on top. Squeeze fresh lime juice over the taco for added flavor.
Customize Your Tacos
If desired, add optional toppings such as jalapeños, chopped cilantro, and pickled onions.
