Method

Cocktail

  1. 1

    Prepare glass

If rimming the glass, rub the lime wedge around the lip of a chilled coupe or rocks glass and dip the rim into a shallow plate with coarse sea salt or fine sugar. Set the glass aside.

  2. 2

    Combine ingredients

Add 2 oz Casamigos Blanco tequila, 0.5 oz St‑Germain elderflower liqueur, 0.5 oz fresh lime juice, 0.25 oz simple syrup, and 2 dashes orange bitters into a cocktail shaker.

  3. 3

    Add ice and shake

Fill the shaker with ice (about 1 cup) and shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds until the outside of the shaker is very cold and slightly frosted.

  4. 4

    Strain

Double-strain the cocktail into the prepared chilled coupe or a rocks glass over fresh ice, depending on preference. Use a Hawthorne strainer and a fine mesh strainer to catch small ice shards or pulp.

  5. 5

    Garnish and serve

Express a lime twist over the drink to release oils, then either drop the twist or a lime wheel onto the drink as garnish. Serve immediately.
