Cajun Shrimp and Fries
Method
Preparation and Cooking
Prepare the Fries
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Wash and peel the russet potatoes, then cut them into thin slices or wedges.
Season the Fries
In a large bowl, toss the potato slices with olive oil, garlic powder, Cajun seasoning, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.
Bake the Fries
Spread the seasoned fries in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
Cook the Shrimp
While the fries are baking, heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the shrimp and sprinkle with additional Cajun seasoning. Cook for about 2-3 minutes per side until the shrimp are pink and opaque.
Combine and Serve
Once the fries are done, remove them from the oven and sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese. Let it melt for a minute, then top with the grilled shrimp. Serve with lemon wedges and your favorite signature sauce.
