Method

Preparation of Topping

1

Chop Tomatoes

Dice the fresh tomatoes into small pieces and place them in a mixing bowl.

2

Mince Garlic

Peel and finely mince the garlic cloves, then add them to the bowl with the tomatoes.

3

Add Basil and Season

Chop the fresh basil leaves and add them to the tomato mixture. Drizzle with olive oil, add salt, and season with black pepper to taste. Mix well and set aside.

Grilling the Bread

4

Prepare the Bread

Slice the baguette or ciabatta loaf into 1-inch thick slices.

5

Grill the Bread

Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium heat. Lightly brush each slice of bread with olive oil on both sides.

6

Toast the Bread

Place the bread slices on the grill and toast for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy.

Assembling the Bruschetta

7

Top the Bread

Remove the grilled bread from the heat and place them on a serving platter.

8

Serve

Spoon the tomato mixture generously on top of each slice of bread. Serve immediately while the bread is warm.
